男子涉加重盜竊被捕
2024年8月14日，本局接獲路氹城區一娛樂場檢舉，稱一名莊荷於場內百家樂賭枱當值期間先後五次，每次從珠盤內盜取五枚面值1萬港元的現金籌碼，得手後將籌碼藏於內衣內，懷疑趁下班時將之帶離娛樂場。五次作案共盜取合共25萬港元現金籌碼。
本局博彩罪案調查處隨即展開調查。8月16日凌晨，本局人員發現涉案男子於當值期間再度以上述手法盜竊籌碼，遂立即採取行動將之拘捕，並即場在其身上搜獲六枚1萬港元現金籌碼。
經查，涉案男子於2024年6月起，先後六次乘職務之便盜取合共31萬港元現金籌碼，當中的15萬港元現金籌碼已在另一娛樂場賭博中輸掉，以及在其住所搜獲十個1萬港元現金籌碼。
本局根據調查所得，以加重盜竊（相當巨額）罪將涉案男子移送檢察院偵辦。
Man nabbed for involvement in aggravated theft
On 14th August 2024, the Judiciary Police received a complaint from a casino in the Cotai district, reporting that a dealer had stolen five HKD10,000 cash chips from the chip tray on each of the five occasions in succession while he was on duty at a baccarat betting table in the casino. Once succeeded, he hid the chips inside his underwear. It was suspected that he had taken the chips out of the casino after finishing work. He had perpetrated crimes five times, stealing cash chips worth HKD250,000 in total.
The Gaming-related Crimes Division of the Judiciary Police launched an investigation immediately. In the wee hours of August 16th, personnel of the Judiciary Police discovered that, the involved man employed the aforesaid modus operandi again to steal chips while he was on duty. Thus, action was taken in no time and the involved man was nabbed. In addition, six HKD10,000 cash chips were seized from him at the scene.
Upon investigation, it was found that, since June 2024, the involved man had taken advantage of his duty to steal cash chips worth HKD310,000 in total on six occasions successively, of which cash chips worth HKD150,000 had already been lost in gambling at another casino, whilst ten HKD10,000 cash chips had been seized inside his residence.
Based on investigative findings, the involved man was transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office for the offence of aggravated theft (considerably huge amount).
Detido um homem por furto qualificado
No dia 14 de Agosto de 2024, a PJ recebeu uma denúncia de um casino do Cotai, na qual dizia que um croupier, durante o seu turno de trabalho na mesa de bacará, furtou, em cinco vezes, cinco fichas com o valor facial de 10.000 HKD cada da mesa e escondeu-as na roupa interior, suspeita-se que as levou para fora quando saía do trabalho. Nas cinco actuações foi furtado um total de 250.000 HKD em fichas.
A Divisão de Investigação de Crimes Relacionados com o Jogo iniciou de imediato a investigação. Na madrugada de 16 de Agosto, o nosso pessoal descobriu que o homem envolvido no caso voltou a furtar fichas da forma referida durante o serviço, portanto entrou imediatamente em acção detendo-o, foram encontradas, na sua posse, seis fichas de 10.000 HKD cada.
Na investigação, apurou-se que o envolvido, a partir de Junho de 2024, tinha furtado, em seis ocasiões, aproveitando das suas funções, fichas no valor total de 310.000 HKD, deste dinheiro, foram perdidos ao jogo 150.000 HKD num outro casino, foram também encontradas 10 fichas de 10.000 HKD na sua residência.
Conforme o que foi apurado, o detido foi presente ao Ministério Público por furto qualificado (valor consideravelmente elevado).
