Drug trafficking and consuming case busted, Filipino trio arrested
Through intelligence, the Narcotics Division of the Judiciary Police noticed that a Filipino man and a Filipino woman had been engaging in drug trafficking activities in Macao, hence launched deployment and intercepted the duo on the night of 15th May 2025 at Central district of Macao. Three tiny plastic bags with traces of the drug “ice” were seized inside their apartment in the same district. Later on, based on further clues, the Judiciary Police officers intercepted another involved Filipino man at the same district in the wee hours of May 16th, during which the involved man refused to cooperate and resisted. He was subdued by the Judiciary Police officers in the end. Eight sachets of the drug “ice”, weighing 1.7 grams in total with a worth of around MOP5,000, plus drug packaging tools and drug consuming tools were seized on him and inside his residence in the same district.
Upon investigation, the trio’s urine samples yielded positive results to drugs. In addition, there were strong signs indicating that the trio not only consumed drugs, but also engaged in drug trafficking activities. Based on investigative results, the Judiciary Police transferred the involved woman and the 1st involved man to the Public Prosecutions office with the charges of illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, and illegal consumption of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. On top of the aforementioned two offences, the 2nd involved man was further charged with improper possession of utensils or equipment, resistance and coercion, and was brought to the Public Prosecutions Office together.
