Robbery and burglary often happen when the victim is off his/her guard. Stay alert and take crime preventing measures to avoid incurring losses.

Pedestrian

1.Always walk on pavement.

2.Safeguard your belongings.

3.Avoid deserted areas.

At the ATM

1. Don't get distracted whilst withdrawing money. 

2. Take your cash immediately once the transaction is through. 

3. Be highly wary if strangers accost you. 

4. Stop your transaction if you notice suspicious-looking people around the ATM.  

Driver

1. Keep your belongings covered. 

2. Lock your car doors and keep your windows up. 

3. Lock you belongings in the helmet box of a motorcycle.  

When going out

1.If you think you are being followed, call the police, family or friends for help. Remember personal safety comes first 

2. Avoid going out at night alone. 

3. Get family or friends to walk you home if it is late at night.

Shop owner/shopper

1. Install surveillance cameras in the shop. 

2. Lock your belongings away. 

3. Shoppers should look after their belongings at all times.
