社區警務及公共關係處隸屬管理及計劃廳，主要對澳門特別行政區犯罪狀況進行研究和分析，評估和發展司法警察局與社區之間的關係，並為促進雙方關係提供專業建議，在前線服務上向居民進行有關預防犯罪和警務工作的宣傳及法律推廣活動。在公共關係工作方面，社區警務及公共關係處積極就司法警察局行政現代化進行研究及評估，確保部門與傳媒及公眾之間的良好關係，接待和協助到訪司法警察局的人士，接受公眾的意見或投訴，並跟進涉及紀律程序的調查及其他輔助工作。

The Community Policing and Public Relations Division is subordinate to the Management and Planning Department and is specialized in studying and analyzing crime situations in Macao SAR; evaluating and developing relationship between the Judiciary Police and the Community and providing professional recommendations to promote the relationship; conducting publicity campaign and legal promotion activities of crime prevention and policing work to citizens through frontline services. In areas of public relations, this Division actively deliberates over and assesses the administrative modernization of the Judiciary Police; ensures a smooth relationship among departments, media and the community; receives and assists visitors of the Judiciary Police; accepts suggestions or complaints from the community and follows up on investigations related to disciplinary procedures and other supplementary duties.
A Divisão de Ligação entre Polícia e Comunidade e Relações Públicas está integrada no Departamento de Gestão e Planeamento, compete-lhe essencialmente estudar e analisar a situação criminal da RAEM, avaliar e desenvolver o relacionamento entre a PJ e a Comunidade, bem como formular propostas profissionais concernentes ao melhoramento dessas relações. Relativamente ao serviço ao público, compete a esta subunidade efectuar campanhas de publicidade e de divulgação jurídica junto da população relativamente à prevenção criminal e ao trabalho policial. Quanto ao trabalho das relações públicas, a Divisão de Ligação entre Polícia e Comunidade e Relações Públicas estuda e avalia, de forma activa, a modernização administrativa da PJ, assegura as relações entre a PJ, os órgãos de comunicação social e o público em geral, acolhe e apoia personalidades em visita à PJ, recebe as opiniões e queixas apresentadas pelo público, bem como acompanha a investigação relativa aos processos disciplinares e ao demais trabalho de apoio.
